Dwight Howard decides to stay in Orlando after all?! What an attention whore!

And..the dominoes roll....good bye Deron Williams and good luck filling that Brooklyn stadium.

Howard still may go to the Nets. I don't think Deron will make a move until he knows what Dwight is doing. Bottom line - they'll be together, either with the Nets or Mavs.

Dolan could be the worst owner in NBA. His decision to trade away 4 of his young talents for Melo despite the opposition from his GM and coach shown that he is just clueless when it comes to personnel moves. Melo would've turned FA and sign with Knicks if he wanted to, but his trade ended up gutting the franchise and Melo is still a me-first player despite the emergence of Jeremy Lin.

Thank you Dantoni for stepping aside for the betterment of the damn team...

He was terrible and absolutely clueless as to managing this team's rotation, assignments and defense.

Woodson stresses defense and we will see more Melo and Amare ISO so lets see if these guys wake up. Its on the players now, because Woodson is gone at the end of the year.

Then John Calipari, Zen master, Jerry Sloan and some more will be discussed about coming here.

I like the Jerry Sloan option

I don't see Sloan wanting such a job.

I don't see it either. He's not a young guy and never won anything. The Knicks want championships not a decade of playoff teams that win 45-50 games a year. They had that during the Ewing era.

Jackson is too old, not to mention he's got nothing left to prove. Every team he's ever coached were championship ready - the Knicks are not that quite yet. As for Calipari, I'm always skeptical when a college coach jumps to the pro's.

Tom Thibodeau's on the last year of his deal with the Bulls (there may be an option on him, I'm not sure). He was an assistant for Van Gundy's entire NY stint and a damn good one at that. He was the main force behind those ferocious Knicks defenses.

The Knicks are in a win now mode as well...We arent in a rebuilding phase...Id imagine it is something a coach like him would say let's see if we can build around Melo, Chandler, Lin, Amare

Zen Master would require the trade of Amare

Personally, I think they should trade Melo, and see if they can recoup some of the talents they traded to get him from Denver. This will also free up Lin and Davis to be able to control the offense and not allow him to run iso by himself all day long.

As for good coaches coming to New York, I had mentioned Phil Jackson but the truth is I doubt any good one will want to work for Dolan and his meddling nature. Just look at the long list of coaches come and gone after Van Gundy's departure, and you'll see how Dolan has made New York an undesirable place to coach.

I'm not very high on Baron Davis. He's past his prime and I've made him make some outright terrible passes so far.

I wonder how long it will be before the inevitable reports of Isiah coming back to coach the team. The Knicks will deny the s**t out of it but you know damn well those stories will be out there.

It's every Knicks fan wet dream for Jackson to come here. Fact is, unless we make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs this year I doubt he'll even consider it. I can see Mike Woodson doing a good job though. We'll have to wait to the off season I guess. For now, I just hope we can get back up to .500.

Knicks up 47-23 against the Blazers. Apparently firing D'Antoni was the way to go.

I've never seen a team play as sloppy and bad as the Blazers. They legit look like a high school team.

Dwight Howard has told the Magic that he will not surrender his option to become a free agent following the season, according to sources.

Howard told the Magic that staying with the franchise is his first choice, according to a source.

Multiple reports earlier on Wednesday indicated that Howard agreed to formally opt-in for the 12-13 season.

But Howard and agent Dan Fegan clarified their position during a conference call with Alex Martins, Rich De Vos and other members of the DeVos family.

Howard "didn't fully understand the ramifications"of surrendering his ETO, according to a source, and did so because the Magic threatened to trade him before the deadline if he didn't make that commitment.

Howard participated in the conference call shortly before boarding the team bus to play the Spurs.

Officials from the Magic were not surprised by the change in decision from Howard.

The Magic now have less than 24 hours to decide if they will trade Howard.

What a diva. Man up Dwight. Stop being a ***** about it and just say what you want to do. You'd get a lot more respect if you stopped flip flopping around.

The Lakers are close to acquiring Michael Beasley in a three-way trade, according to a report from Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News.

The Wolves would acquire Jamal Crawford in the proposed trade, while the Blazers would receive Steve Blake.

If I had a nickel everytime a team won after a mid season coaching change I'd be rich.

LOL, why is this coming from a reporter on the opposite side of the country? Does the LA Times have their thumbs in their asses?

Like I said a page earlier, the Jackson rumors are already starting. ESPN guys are saying the Knicks should go all out for Jackson.

BTW, Bulls are hanging with the Heat without Rose. Not sure they can keep it up n the second, but an awesome showing so far.
