Damn, how the f*** did Lakers lose tonight's game? When I was listening to the game on radio on the way home, they were up as many as 17 pts. Lakers just turned into a different animal when they are on the road, the worst kind.

Bynum's ejection didn't help.

Yeah Bulls hands down are the best team in the NBA, beating playoff teams without there star player.

I wouldn't say hands down.

Not sure about hands down, but they are definitely in the picture. What Thibs has done with that team this year is pretty amazing.

That win against the Magic was a beatdown.

But yet you only hear about how good Miami is. The Bulls have won a lot of their games without key starters, including their all star leader. If it's possible to go under the radar and still have the best record in the league, then the Bulls are doing that. I can see them going all the way this year.......there's something about Miami that's just not right. I can see them easily getting beat the in 2nd round by either Orlando or dare I say even the Knicks who is just a scary looking team if everything clicks.

What Bynum did last night (picking up his 2nd technical in third quarter then high-fiving fans as he exited) shown that he still has a long way to go to become mature and level-headed, qualities that he needs if he wants to be "the man" after Kobe retires. There are still times when he acts like a big kid who needs alot of growing up to do.

Maybe the Heat get more praise because of their beat down of the Bulls in the ECF last year?

I think the league is trying to make the Heat the "it" team in the league, even though they say they don't like what they did. The secret to beating Miami is just make them play half court, which is what I don't understand why more teams don't do it. I'm more shocked that the Bulls didn't do it in the playoffs. But I actually think Rip is the key and if he's healthy(which I doubt)then I can see them beating the Heat.

Well apparently the Heat can pull 17-0 runs out of their ass to win games so who cares right?

Honestly, they should against the Suns. The Heat are the "best" team in the NBA after all. :o

Re: 2011/2012 NBA Thread : A Season Reborn - Part 2

It is easier to trust the Heat than the Bulls. Though a half court game can hurt the Heat, the Bulls only have Rose and Deng as consistent scorers. The winning without Rose can fly in the regular season, but it wont in the playoffs.

thre is no denying the NBA is pushing the Heat as the "it" team. Hell they can not even play one night and a player can go off for major points yet still th top story on every NBA site is talking about The Heat.

Re: 2011/2012 NBA Thread : A Season Reborn - Part 2

Getting the Heat to play a half court game is easier said than done, though. One bad pass and they're at the other end scoring. The Bulls do about as a good a job keeping them in the half court that I've seen, but still ...

Also, I don't think the league is just promoting the Heat without reason, though. They are pretty damn good.

Ugh, damn, way more positive crap then I'd like to say about those tools.

The Bulls are currently working on a 20-0 in the 4th Qtr against the Raptors. It was looking like one of those dud games, Thibs goes to the bench guys and suddenly 20-0 run.

That's what good teams do. They know when to turn it on and off.

Didn't the league push the Bulls in the 90's just a little bit?

Please don't think I'm a Heat fan I'm just stating my opinion.

Sure, they got a lot of push because of Jordan. He was obviously a huge draw. The real push from the league came after they started winning championships, though.

When the Bulls started winning there was still Bird's Celtics, Magic's Lakers, the Detroit Bad Boys, etc.

Pretty impressive win by the Knicks, particularly since it was done in Sixer's own court. Now people can't say Knicks only won against the weak teams now.

Hopefully Lakers will end their losing streak tonight.
