It sucks...Amare is turning into Larry Johnson 2.0...Right when he was turning things around and playing like MVP Amare from last season's first half.
Anyways, I saw this and I thought it was too funny From NBA.com's official box score http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17hl...jpg/xlarge.jpg |
Re: 2011/2012 NBA Thread : A Season Reborn - Part 2
Why is Amare being injured a surprise to anyone?

However, in a way, it could be a blessing in disguise. He & Melo, just like Wade & Lebron, don't compliment each other that well, and last night was the first time in awhile that Melo looked like himself. |

I just hope Amare can make it before the playoffs, but I think I doubt it. |

My gawd was that Monta Ellis trade dumb for Golden State. I would have traded Curry before I traded Ellis. Between Curry and Bogut, I doubt they can play even 10 games combined a season. They should sign Greg Oden and complete the circle.

LeBron James has injured left ring finger (possibly dislocated); maybe if he had a ring, it would have been protected.

Re: 2011/2012 NBA Thread : A Season Reborn - Part 2
Another shrewd Mike Brown move, albeit this time more warranted. Bynum visibly checked out mentally after getting benched for launching an ill-advised three pointer, and its things like that which leaves me reluctant to fully buy into him. He has a petulant, childish nature that rears its head at the wrong times.
Pouting on the bench, not getting up for timeouts or congratulating teammates? He just admitted to not playing hard a few weeks ago then got tossed out the Houston game after that, shaking hands no less! In the illustrious words of Bill Parcels, let's slow down with the anointing oil. This game also illustrates what some hate about Kobe but I absolutely love. Yeah, he took bad shots and was off all night, but when its crunch time there's no hesitation, and he was clutch when it mattered. He doesn't care about FG%, shot selection, double teams or triple teams, he's only concerned with aggressiveness & tenacity, and the man just don't stop. No conscious, no fear... |

I kind of disagree. Bynum was wide open and Gasol takes them all the time. Why can Pau take them and Bynum can't? Bah! I thought hiring Mike Brown was a mistake from the jump and he's just proving me right.

Despite all the lakers issues, they are in the 3rd spot in the west and have a shot at the title.

Knicks are whoopin on the Magic pretty hard.

Re: 2011/2012 NBA Thread : A Season Reborn - Part 2
Yeah when the Magic miss those three's, their whole team falls apart. But once again Carmelo looks like himself out there.

Re: 2011/2012 NBA Thread : A Season Reborn - Part 2
^ Magic live and die on the 3, cannot win a championship with that kinda style.

Re: 2011/2012 NBA Thread : A Season Reborn - Part 2
Knicks were up 90-49 at one point...lol

I'm so glad the Knicks are winning without Lin and Amare! I'll be glad when they all come back full strength and play well together but I get sick and tired of the Lin vs Melo crap. It's Melo's team and though I think Lin is the Knicks starting pg for the foreseeable future, but it was amazing how people wanted to give him the team when clearly it was coaching that was the problem. If Dantoni had coached Miami, I can guarantee you Chalmers would be the man while LBJ and Wade would be sideshows. It's though freakin bandwagon fans that just jumped on Linsanity and don't understand the game who tried to divide and conquer the team.

Be interesting to see if Lakers can beat the Thunder tonight. And man Blake Griffin was a beast last night against the Suns.
