Powers Display/Action sequences on the sequel
 

Knowing the characters on First Class and the storyline that will inspire the sequel, more possible characters from Original Trilogy, what kind of power display would you like this time?

We could get the sentinels on the movie, as in the storyarc, but what about those little action/powers momments between characters, in the middle of a big battle, or during the film?

We have seen what Havok, Banshee and Beast did on First Class with their powers, so what new and cool moments we could see from them on the sequel?

The same with the characters on the future and the brotherhood of the past

something inspired on any comic?, or the animated shows?

Lets see what cool ideas and personal desires we come with :woot:

Edited: Some descriptions with details about the use of each power would be appreciated. The issue is not exactly about what fights do we want, but those little things we'd like to see with each character using their powers ;)

Logan vs Sentinel and being decimated just like the cover or is that too predictable? I think I just want him to die ahaha .. I think it's pretty iconic but they never really had any scenes in the movies that copied a cover or panel from the comics. Not even Phoenix rising from the water >:(

I just want the long overdue psychic battle on the astral plane, Rogue with her comic powers, Cyclops being a leader or having a bigger role.

Here Is what I would like to see power wise In X-Men:Days of future Past

Future scene at begining-Storm and Wolverine VS Sentinles at ruins of the mansion to buy time for the time travel plot to work.Storm uses weather against sentinles while Wolverine claws them up

Future Flashback-Wolverine bursts Into Internment camp and frees Xavier,Magneto,Storm,and Kitty from Collors.Magneto uses his powers against sentinles to allow the others to escape.

X-Men Vs Brotherhood showdown-Havok VS both Riptide and Angel Salvatore.Beast VS Azarel rematch.Banshee vs Emma In diamond form.Beast and Banshee help get Magneto's helmet off so Xavier can show him what he has learned about the future.Kitty VS Mystique to prvent the Assassination.

some nice ideas, marvelrobb...... but what about the use of the powers?

you name some scene ideas, and thats cool.... but the idea of the topic was more about how the characters use their powers this time, what they do exactly with them, and stuff like that.

I really think they should upgrade Havoks powers. Allowing him to shoot from his hands would be alot cooler. Maybe a new suit made by Hank or something could allow that. Would also like to see Mystique gain her agility she had in the other X films.

yeah, those are two things I thought I wanted to see too

Id like to see a big shoot of Havok displaying his beam with from a long distance. I mean, to see a shoot from the distant and see a powerfull and very large beam, to sense how powerfull and dangerous he can be and at the same time to surprise the audience and make them see that Havok is a really badass x-men too, like the most well known x-men, from the original trilogy and tv shows.

Storm flying and using wind and lighting against Sentinles.Wolverine clawing Into leg of sentinle,and Colossus throwing Wolverine fastball special so he can claw the head off of a sentinle.

Kitty phasing Into camp with Wolverine.

Riptide usin his wind and Angel Salvatore attacking from air at same time against Havok.Havok having to fight both at same time.

Emma In diamond form attacking Banshee.Banshee has to use sonic scream to knock her out.

Beast using his agility as Azazel keeps teleporting to attack him.Finally Beast grabs hold of his tail and throws him down and kicks him with his feet to subdue him.

Banshee goes all sonor against Magneto while Beast goes behind him In plan to get helmet off.

Kitty phases target of assassination Into other room and goes back where sje and Mystique engage Into hand to hand combat.

really interesting your idea of Banshee using his scream to attack others. would be a smart way to fight such a powerfull brotherhood, without doubt.

hopefully Matthew and Kinberg are having this kind of ideas while writing the script, they really have to step their game up, with the fights

I forget to mention my Indepth the Idea of Magneto free of collor using metal against ar army of sentinle.Just Imagne seeing Ian Mckellan In camp that harkens back to being a child like we saw In X-Men/X-Men first Class.And once free to use his powers a very pissed off Magneto goes off on Sentinles while the others escape.

I would love to see the sentinels, we've only had a sentinel's head so far (X2). It'd be really cool to me 'cause The animated series was what first got me into X-Men, and I remember dearly being 11 or 12 years old and watching the first episodes and being like "OMG!!! This rocks my socks".

Would the Sentinels be metal, as that would easily make them so vulnerable to Magneto? Wouldn't whoever made them try to avoid using metal?

I recently saw that 90s cartoon episode where the Sentinels were made of a ceramic or plastic substance. They attacked Magneto on a ship and he used the metal of the ship as his weapon, like firing rivets through them.

I also like to theorise that the Magneto helmet from First Class wasn't metal in its original design, and that's why Erik didn't/couldn't directly lift it off Shaw in the submarine battle. It's worth noting that in the comics, the mutant Fantomex uses a mask made of ceramics (not metal) to block telepathy. Maybe Fassbender's Magneto puts a metal coating on to the helmet for the new redesign in the final scenes of First Class, so he can take it on and off using his powers....

This is what I want to see. I want plastic Sentinels that in the future Magneto can't manipulate. So he starts flinging cars and buildings at them!

We saw the flinging of cars at the end of X3. It needs to be a little more inventive than that. I wouldn't imagine there would be many cars around on the streets in a terrifying future ruled by Sentinels, although I'm not sure what the humans are doing in this bleak future.

Do you think people are used to the younger versions of the characters from First Class enough yet to be able to follow a story where those characters are mixed with ones from the original trilogy they already know? Maybe they should have waited to do this story until after one more First Class-era film. Maybe not though of course. Could be great.

Thats what Ive been saying during the last weeks too.

but sadly this is not what these producers and creative team want.

I just hope the first class x-men get a bit more development and shine than in the first. at least a little bit more.

It can be implied in between films that Azazel and Mystique had a fling, possibly a rape that lead her to be pregnant. However we won't know she's pregnant the whole movie because of her shapeshifting abilities, she's hidden it from everyone including Magneto. Then it could be revealed somehow through a birth scene and dumping lil baby Nightcrawler down a river.

Ive thought about that too, she would hide it from everyone and end leaving Kurt to someone else or a german circus, that would be a great nod to the comics and the character

Raven seemed to have some swinging going on. One moment she nearly kissed Hank and then it's not long before she's in Erik's bed. She seemed quite insecure as far as wanting love and acceptance and latching on to men. It might not take much for Azazel to get his wicked way...

Yes very true. I guess I just like the "raped by the devil" analogy but you're right she's the promiscuous type. Still I think it'd be pretty awesome to have her using her shape shifting powers to hide the pregnancy.

Azazel Is into Mystique.Mustique Is jealous of Emma who wants to Magneto's right hand In more ways than one.This leads her Into Azazel's bed.

I think 'promiscuous' is a bit harsh. She only bedded Erik, as far as we know from what that scene implied.

Underneath it all, she was insecure because she had to hide all the time. That puts pressures on a teenage girl who is feeling conscious of her looks and suddenly aware of attraction and sexuality.

She was jealous of Xavier hitting it off with the mutant-eyed woman in the bar. She felt attracted to Hank because he, too, was visibly a mutant (though only his feet at that point when she was first attracted). And when she decided Hank's cure idea was wrong and Erik's self-acceptance was the better notion, she became attracted to him and got into his bed.

She could hide a pregnancy by morphing baggy clothes over it, but she couldn't flatten the baby bump itself as that would harm the child. Also, I wonder if she has a normal pregnancy. Her cells age at half normal rate, so does that slowed ageing make the gestation slower? Or, for someone who can grow scales at such speed to change appearance, is it much faster?

Well I was thinking also of the tent scene with Wolverine in X2.
