Wang Xuegi as Radioactive Man?

The Newest hottest rumor in terms of Ironman 3.

Will he be in it? Why?

He'll be just a scientist in IM3 and then turn into Radioactive Man by the end. I'm thinking he might show up as full-on Radioactive Man in Ant-Man.

Too old though.

Re: Wang Xuegi as Radioactive Man?

Yeah, he is pretty old. Then again, most of the MCU villains haven't been young.

On a separate note, he might even turn up again in a possible Hulk movie.

Re: Wang Xuegi as Radioactive Man?

I could see it becoming a case of Radioactive Man being a Frankenstein's monster. Wang Xuegi as a withered old scientist who becomes irradiated, superpowered, and a bulked-out CGI brick who turns to the wrong side of the law (willingly or unwillingly).

Re: Wang Xuegi as Radioactive Man?

Radioactive Man has always been more of a Thor villain than an Iron Man villian.

I hope not, I don't want another Iron Man 2.

What in the hell is going on here?

Once again, Radioactive Man is NOT an Iron Man villain.

Honestly, who cares? He's no one's villain really, he's bounced around. They obviously just wanted a Chinese scientist friend for Tony and Radioactive Man was a Chinese scientist, so they slid him in there.

Obviously I do, so you know that pretty much answers your "who cares" question.

The goggles did nothing.

"Up and at them!"

Anyone thinking this might be a problem? The GA first thought when they hear Radioactive Man will undoubtly be a Simpsons joke...

They'll probably never refer to him as radioactive man anyways.

Why, though? What is it about his character, or Thor's character, that makes him a definitive "Thor villain"? Just because he first appeared in a Thor comic?

I'm like 99% sure he's been in more Iron Man comics than Thor comics. Probably twice as many.

Radioactive Man has fought everyone as a villain in the Masters Of Evil. I see him as an Avengers villain in general rather than just a Thor villain.

Who's not to say that Marvel won't go full on Dr. Manhattan with him. Then the age of the actor wouldn't be a problem. They would just use him for his voice and likeness.

You're right when you think about it like that. If we use that logic then Wolverine is a Hulk villain and Sabertooth is a Spider-man villain.

They will probably refer to him as The Radioactive man. It will come off more as a descriptive reference rather than as an actual name.

Re: Wang Xuegi as Radioactive Man?

Eh, when I think of the Radioactive Man I think of his time on the Thunderbolts. Plus he was also on the Master's of Evil. I'd rather not see him in IM3.

Although this pic makes me want to see a Radioactive Man vs Thor fight in a MCU film:

I always think of the old masters of evil when I think of Radioactive Man. This was my first comic ever.

If I remember correctly he was created specifically to stop Thor, if that doesn't make him more of a Thor villain I don't know what will.

I never said he was a "definitive" Thor villain, I just said he was more of a Thor villain than IM villain.

Re: Wang Xuegi as Radioactive Man?

He may be more a Thor villain than an IM villain, but he's not really iconically a Thor villain. He's part of the general mass of "all purpose villains" Marvel uses. As such, I can't really see any problem changing around his usage in the movies. Its not like taking the Red Skull, and making him a Thor villain.
