Maybe we shouldn't be giving him the time of day, maybe we are just feeding into his ego. Or maybe he knows his shtuff... But better we keep the discussion of his oddities confined to one thread.

Yeah most of what he claims is "inside news" could be considered vaguely obvious. But he's got a striking confidence about him. Here's a list of what he's said in the last few months:

I'll bite. Most of this is rumors we've heard already. Pepper as Rescue is definitely a cool idea, might be very interesting to see play out. Very sad about Panther. Sounds like they don't have confidence in the story, which is a bad sign. It's nice to have the character do some of the selling for you, but a good movie will be successful.

Viggo as Strange in Thor 2 would be full of win, in my book at least.

Sounds like Mockingbird will be in full effect in SHIELD, that's kinda cool-ish, okay.

I am not saying the guy isnt in "the know", but it also wouldnt be hard to make a lot of educated guesses and end up being right a nice percentage of the time. If you slant statements in "mays" and "mights" then can never really be proven wrong either.

He could also have dated information. There are tons of characters who were in earlier drafts of MCU scripts (Baron Zemo and Strucker in Cap, Karnilla and Malekith in Thor, Wasp in Avengers) that didn't make it into the final film.

So it may turn out that Doctor Strange was intended for Thor 2, but ditched.

Although "touch(ed)" is a literal translation of the French verb, in English, touché [tü-'shay] is an interjection, used not only to acknowledge a hit in fencing but also, more commonly in conversation, to acknowledge the success or appropriateness of an argument, an accusation, or a witty point. For Example: Two men are fencing. One strikes, but the blow is parried. The man who parried the blow finds a loophole in his opponent's defenses. He strikes and taps the other man on the shoulder. The blow is legal and the loser varifies this by saying:

Hilariously full of it. People like to point to the Pepper armor thing as proof, but he literally tweeted it right after the SDCC panel, where they said they were thinking about having it in IM2 but scrapped it, then stated "anything could happen" in regards to IM3 with that winking Marvel coyness.

Not to mention the fact that there's no way that over halfway into production were they going to be merely "considering" having a set piece like that, one which was already shot since it was part of the SDCC footage screened. Saying "considering" was just an out for him if his guess turned out to be wrong.

Couldn't agree more.

El Mayimbe is Spanish for "One Step Away From a Restraining Order At Marvel Studios".....The guy is an idiot with no knowledge of journalistic form, ethics or reporting.

And I find it hysterical the translation of "El Mayimbe" is either "Pimp", "Boss", or "Chief" of which he is definately the first. A media whore pimp who would lie about his own mother having a cameo in a Marvel film if he thought it would get him attention.

Pretty much the Anna Kendrick one only and then we can't say that's false because she could've been the lead runner until Van Campe came along.
Even the Szostak one hasn't been proven wrong technically because until the movie comes out we can't say yes or no to any of the IM3 rumors.

Yeah, front runners, in competition for a film, or a race, where the terminology comes from, get passed all the time. So that's not a falsehood, unless we interpret front runner to mean: cast, which seems ridiculous to me... why not just say 'cast' instead of an image that refers to someone who simply in the lead so long as the lead is not taken from them.

On Szostak, the rumor circulating now is that she's playing Ellen Brandt, based on an obscure find from the production notes on IM3's website, which is no conspicuously taken down. If that's true, hardcore fans actually would go crazy, cuz Man-Thing is worthy going crazy over.

So, as much as he may be a charlatan, I don't see how he's a proved charlatan, he clearly minces words, perhaps because the information he has isn't all that reliable, and he knows one falsehood, for any reason, and everyone will throw out everything he's ever said.
