So was anything done to Bucky in the first film?
I tend to put a lot of significance in him being strapped to that table when Cap rescues him in First Avenger. I wonder if that plays into his survival/resurrection.

According to the director's commentary, Zola or someone was experimenting on him with his version of the super-soldier serum. The effects allow him to survive falling from the train.

It would be incredibly easy for them to flashback in Cap 2 to Bucky on that table and show him being experimented on to explain how he'd survive the fall and any other possible augmentations to his strength, etc.
I'd say there's a good chance we'll see that. |

Does the regular dvd have the commentary or just the BluRay?

Nicely done. Haven't seen the Director's Commentary, but this serves two purposes: (1) Establish a somewhat plausible reason for Bucky being able to survive the fall, and (2) Well, he does fall under the 'super soldier' rubric... so this gives him a bit of a head start. :yay:
