The SUPERIOR Spider-Man
so after TASM #700 the title ends and we are getting a new series, a new Spidey, with a new costume:

Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man
he definitely improved since spectacular. But still, I think it's sad that spiderfans are stuck with his work when better artists could make a better job.

Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
Stegman? I think hes fantastic. I kinda hope he sticks around for quite a while.
|
Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
No, he's talking about Ramos.

Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
I love Stegman. One of the best up-and-comers. Still I feel like for whatever reason (tighter deadlines, inking) his Superior stuff isn't as tight and fluid as his Scarlet Spider stuff was. Still a huge improvement over Ramos who should be using his "talent" to paint fences.

Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
So Giuseppe Camuncoli is doing the next couple of issues, right?

My wiener just got rock hard.

Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
Seriously. Great cover.
|
Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
So weird seeing a Bagley-drawn Spidey with small eyes.
|
Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
It's official now, I guess...Bagley's drawn it...
|
Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
I really dig Bagley's art, but I wasn't too fond of his work on ultimate SM. Sure, it was good, but not as good as his previous spidey work imo. That cover, on the other hand, is amazing (pun intended).
|
Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
I wonder if he'll do a stint on Superior? A Stegman/Bagley combo would be amazing.

Yes, I do think. Right down to the pose. The Campbell cover is obviously better. Why is Spidey even posed so awkwardly in the Bagley cover? His right leg is just kind of floating there, like he's straddling the guy... Is this meant to be an homage? If so, why? Is the Campbell cover really that iconic? |
Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
you're right, the Bagley leg DOES look weird there...
and no, I don't think the Campbell cover is iconic at all, I'm not even a big fan of Campbell, but I think it's just an unintentional homage... probably the cover was in the back of Bags' mind, cause it doesn't look like there's any "Bags after Campbell" acknowledgment anywhere on the cover... |
Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
I've seen the Campbell cover on alot of T-Shirts online....
|
Re: The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 1
ANY image can be put on a tshirt, but it's still not an iconic cover... unusual but not iconic...
