Quicksilver's hair - how should it look?

I can think of three really good reasons why Pietro's hair should be a normal colour and not white like in the comics.

1. Pietro inherited his hair from his dad, Papa Magneto. In the X-men series, Magneto's hair is caused by age and as we saw he either had brown or black hair when he was younger.

2. He can't mention ol' Daddy Magneto anyway so you don't need that visual link

3. It might make him look old and grey.

That said, I would love to see Pietro's hair colour just like in the comics for some even better reasons...

1. It's always good to follow what the comics have done to a certain extent

2. It's cute. Trust me, if fangirls made Avengers 2 a hit because of Loki (some of them anyway) then they will LOVE Pietro!

3. It defines Pietro's oddness and gives him an alternative punch-to-the-status-quo look. Somewhere around David Bowie or Spike from Buffy (which alot of people have been comparing him with)

What do you think?

Here is what they might go for...

http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/2182/redcut10.jpghttp://img515.imageshack.us/img515/4...malfoy8729.jpghttp://img707.imageshack.us/img707/8673/pic03g.jpghttp://img199.imageshack.us/img199/5097/billclinton.jpg

(Just kidding about the last one ;) ). I reckon the first one would suit Pietro the best. It's intriguing and matches his personality.

Keep the platinum/white hair. And as for his costume, I want it to be similar to his costume in X-Men: Evolution.

The white hair looks cool. Keep it.

I wonder if fox will have to keep their pietro's hair a normal colour and marvel will go more similar to the comics to try and differentiate it.

It makes sense that foxPietro will have brown hair like Fassbender and because Singer doesn't like strange hairstyles (he even had a problem with Storm's) but it wouldn't surprise me if they made his hair silver first just so Marvel are forced to give him brown hair, just to upset marvel's track record of translating comics to film accurately.

Maybe it depends on who releases a promo pic first? I hope marvel cast their Pietro soon

I hope it is white/platinum and is gelled in place and douchey looking as possible.

has it really ever been implied that he inherited his white hair from his father? I always just thought it was an unusual side effect of his mutation

I would guess that TA2's Quicksilver has white/platinum hair as Whedon seem so into him and SW that I think he wants them to be like he remembers them from reading the comics.

Re: Quicksilver's hair - how should it look?

I say keep the hair color true to the comics - the color was established years before any kinship with Magneto was even hinted at...

Can someone photoshop Aaron Johnson with white hair?

I think it should be kept Silver because it could be a way of saying he's a mutant later without even saying it lol

Re: Quicksilver's hair - how should it look?

that's a good point him having an unnatural looking hair color (at least for a character in his 20s) would imply some sort of genetic anomaly without them having to out right say mutant

I know Marvel shies away from questionable head ornamentation, but the hair is a must.

Re: Quicksilver's hair - how should it look?

^ the only thing I can think of that your referring to is Thor not wearing his helmet (all the time)

other then that everyone's hair color has been accurate to their comic book counterpart

Evan's went blond
Scarlett had red hair
Hemsworth had long hair

Re: Quicksilver's hair - how should it look?

I think a Targaryan-like platinum blonde would be a good look.

Re: Quicksilver's hair - how should it look?

He should have a silvery platinum blond head of hair. It helps to give him a distinct look which he should have, him being different (mutant) and all.

He needs to have those two strands sticking out in the front like antennae.

F*** I hate Quicksilver. Why the hell can't WB get a Flash movie off the ground, yet this douche is going to appear in in TWO movies in a year's time?

Sorry, rant over. :csad:

I don't hate Quicksilver. But i agree with what you're saying. I'm much more a fan of Flash. We'll have to settle for the first fast guy in his own movie

Re: Quicksilver's hair - how should it look?

I like first picture. The next to last is acceptable as well, but for some reason I like it longer. It's less professional, but it just looks cooler. I guess it would depend on the actor though.

I think these are just examples of hair color not style or length

I never understood how Flash or QS could run so fast, with their eyes open, with no goggles or eye gear of some sort.

By the way, QS > Flash for a number of reasons.

I figure their bodies physiologicaly equipt and are built for speed therefore they can withstand the speed.

Flash has the speed force.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_F..._of_superspeed
Quote:

Source of superspeed
The Speed Force is a vaguely defined extra-dimensional energy force from which most, but not all, superspeed-powered heroes in the DC Comics universe draw their enhanced abilities. For example, the multiple heroes named the Flash (Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West, and Bart Allen), Johnny Quick, Jesse Quick/Liberty Belle, XS, the Tornado Twins, and Max Mercury all draw their powers from the Speed Force.[1][2] The Speed Force is also seen as a physical space to which speedsters can travel.[citation needed] Max Mercury traveled through time as a result of his efforts to enter the Speed Force and ended up several decades into the future every time he made an attempt.[citation needed] Bart Allen could control the Speed Force and could "commune" with the spirits in the Speed Force through meditation. When speedsters die, they become one with the Speed Force, as it is an afterlife for them.[citation needed] Max Mercury's own spirit is trapped inside following his possession by The Rival.[citation needed]
The Speed Force only exists in the DC Multiverse; when Wally travelled to the Marvel Universe in JLA/Avengers, he was powerless in the other world, requiring Steel to create a 'battery pack' that allowed Wally to absorb Speed Force energy in the DC Universe to give him a supply that he could use in the other world.

Quicksilver has his Mutant ability, The High Evolutionary's Isotope E, and the Terrigen Mist.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quicksi..._and_abilities
Quote:

Powers and abilities
Quicksilver is a mutant capable of moving and thinking at superhuman speeds. Originally capable of running at the speed of sound; exposure to the High Evolutionary's Isotope E made it possible for the character to run at supersonic speeds of up to Mach 10 and resist the effects of friction, reduced oxygen, and kinetic impact while moving at super-speeds. The character's speed allows him to perform feats such as create cyclone-strength winds; run up walls and cross bodies of water. It has been revealed that one of the reasons for his abrasive and impatient personality is that it seems to him that the rest of the world is moving in slow motion and that he is constantly waiting for it to catch up. As he once explained, "Have you ever had a day where you are at the ATM and you are in a hurry because you're running late but the person in front of you doesn't know how to use the ATM and they're taking forever? Now imagine what it must be like to spend every day surrounded by people who don't know how to use the ATM."[59]
Quicksilver loses his powers of speed when his sister alters reality, but gains new powers courtesy of the Inhumans' Terrigen Mist. The mist gives Quicksilver the ability to displace himself out of mainstream time and space and "jump" into the future. The character can summon several time-displaced duplicates of himself and appear to teleport by "jumping" into the future and then returning to the present at a new location. By voluntarily embedding fragments of the Terrigen Crystals into his own body, the character could empower former mutants with extreme versions of their superhuman abilities. The effect, however, was usually fatal. The crystals are subsequently forced from the character's body by the mutant Rictor, leaving him without these abilities. Quicksilver inexplicably regains his mutant superspeed powers after having a series of hallucinations.

Yeah. I always figured the same thing that keeps wind resistance from making them explode also diverts small objects like dust and bugs away from their path.
