I know, I really came to love Pepper and Tony from the movies, and then I looked them up and found out their story in the comics and I was like, "crap! Hope the movies doesn't go that way!" LOL!

There's so much potential with Lois and Clark. 75 years worth of it. She's as integral to the Superman mythos as any character NOT named "Clark Kent aka Superman" so the fact that DC is disrespecting her right now just burns me the heck up, it really does. And that's one of the things that I loved so much about this movie is because everyone involved with it really seems to respect and appreciate the Lois Lane character and what she brings to the story. Screw Johns and the idiots who wrote the crap on Smallville pre season 9. Because at least Goyer and Snyder and Nolan respect Lois and respect the pairing and respect Clark Kent enough not to jerk him around so they can pair him up with their personal fanboy fantasies. Argh!

well based on the interviews that Snyder has given, he seems to understand how important Lois is to the Superman mythology and to Superman himself, and it doesn't hurt that Amy Adams is like one of the best actresses out there as well and brings a lot in portraying this role.

I honestly can't think of any actress that can fit Wonder Woman's profile that can match Amy Adam's resume and fan base at the moment.

Like Audrey and others have pointed out, Lois and Superman/Clark is like one of the world's most famous and well known fictional couples, more so than the likes of Peter Parker and Mary Jane and almost comparable to Romeo and Juliet, only with a happier ending.lol

And it doesn't hurt that Snyder was supposedly quoted on saying that his Superman isn't based off of the new 52 take.

My hope for this new take on Clark and Lois is that they are allowed to flourish and develop naturally without the hindrance of uncharacteristic problems and without unwanted third party members getting involved. Hell, for those that are worried that Bruce and Diana may become a threat to this beloved ship, the chances of that happening are very unlikely at the moment..hell there's a better chance that DC may pair up Batman and Wonder Woman together in the live action DC universe.lol

I agree, Herolee! He's sounded so supportive and appreciative of Lois Lane, and respectful of what she brings to the story, that it really does my Lois Loving Heart some good. Especially with the way that DC has been spitting on her. Good lord, I really pretty much despise that company right now.

Me too! At this point, I can't see them doing a love triangle with them. Not with what they have built in this movie right now. These two formed a really strong connection based on mutual trust and belief in each other, not to mention an obvious attraction and appreciation of the other. I think they will explore that more - especially with Lois in the know - rather than sabotage it with any stupid, inane third party crap.

And I'd like to hope that if they DO introduce Wonder Woman in MoS, they will have respect enough for all of the characters to do it with something more than in some shallow, stupid attempt at a triangle, you know?

Agreed; and irony of this is that before the New 52, Lois and Wonder Woman were portrayed on being good friends with each other with no "unrequited love for Superman" from WW being an issue or a factor from what i recall and Batman knows how important Lois is to superman and goes to great lengths to ensure that she's safe for Superman's sake (at least from what I remember).

Indeed...they were probably thinking..we can make Clark relevant but still make him more superman-like than the comics..and we'll get rid of the trunks as well, but make our costume still look better than yours.lol

Yea, one of my favorite stories is the one where Lois is kidnapped and going to be burned at the stake by the Superman fanatics and Bruce comes to save her and he ruminates about her, how she's one of his best students. I LOVE that one!

It's just stupid. The whole blasted thing is stupid. It's just from the mind of immature men to turn female characters who were strong and independent into nothing more than catfighters and mere love interest for the males. :cmad:

Thank GOODNESS that Snyder and Goyer not only respect Lois Lane, but they respect female characters in general in this movie. Sure, I might have liked a bit more with Clark and his birth mom, Lara. But Lara was still shown as a strong, intelligent woman of her own. Same with Martha Kent. Same with Faora. None of these women were turned into sex symbols or helpless women, just to prop up the male characters. They were all intelligent, strong women of their own, respected for what they could bring to the story more than just some shallow sex crap.

If Michael Bay had directed this film, or someone like him, I guarantee everyone that we would have gotten some dimwitted female characters, shown for nothing but their sex appeal, and always have Lois shown with her make conveniently in tact, along with her hair being in the perfect position at all times.lol

I kind of hope that at some point in the DC Film universe, that if we do get to see a wedding for Superman and Lois, that we get to see the entire Justice League there in their civilian identities, with Bruce serving as one of Clark's best man, and Diana as one of Lois's bridesmaids

Re: Amy Adams is Lois Lane: - - Part 11

Oh, heck, Lois would have been in a bikini at some point, or running around in short shorts in the Alaskan wilds or something! Or she would have been in a negligee during her apartment scenes :whatever:

Oh, I would love a wedding! I kind of think they won't give us that, but yea, if we get one, I would love to see the whole JLA there. And with the Lois in the comics in a lot of the know and this Lois already in the know, she should know who the JLA are so when they come to her wedding, it won't be weird, LOL!

One of the scenes I seriously want for the next movie, is a "Lois covers for Clark when he has to go running out" scene. Where they're all talking at the DP with Perry or other co workers, he hears something, gives her the signal, and she makes an excuse so he can run out. I REALLY want one of those, LOL!

Finally saw it tonight. I fell in love with Lois as expected. :atp:

I used to be a shipper for adding in the other ladies, and while I still would like to add in an adult Lana and a Cat Grant, I'm good with them not going the love triangle route; MoS just made it so it would make no sense for a love triangle to happen.

I would really like for Lana to be in the sequel, but have Clark be a one-woman kind of guy.

I say it works fine as is. I really want it to be a sweet, but adult relationship. When we begin the sequel they are together, no questions asked. We develop and explore how their relationship works, but no confusion that they are a steady and happy couple.

Yea, I'd like that too.

They are a couple, we see them building their relationship together. Sure, they're still working on things and getting things right, but it's clear they are TOGETHER.

And I want them to have Lois be active in the story, like they did in this movie. And if it IS Lex as the next villain, then that will work, because she can be working on the whole exposing him angle and coming up with that proof, while Clark is working on the whole superhero angle.

He's def more relaxed in these clips.

And Amy mentioning the other actors she's worked with who wouldn't be behaved as graciously when wearing the suit, go figure, she's worked with Christian Bale, Mark Whalberg, and Joaquin Pheonix:woot:

Glad you liked Lois, Magic Majik. I liked this version too. I believed she was an experienced, crack reporter who had won a Pulitzer prize. That's a key like for me. I also liked how she was adventurous - climbing the glacier, and using the laser gun. Adams was excellent. I had no issue with her knowing Clark's secret - it strengthens the bond if anything. And there is a bond between them. It all came together with them smiling at each other at the end, welcoming Clark to 'the Planet'.

Amy is great actress and great on the eyes. brilliant choice all round.

Re: Amy Adams is Lois Lane: - - Part 11

Guys, Geoff Johns did not just write Lois and Clark on Smallville.

He wrote Superman: Secret Origins which has one of the best and most beautiful portrayals of Lois Lane EVER. He wrote a stunning relationship between Lois and Clark where Lois was on to Clark right away and knew he was hiding something.

He also wrote Superman: Last Son with Richard Donner where Lois and Clark adopt a child together and raise him.

Geoff Johns does love Lois. The new 52 is horrible but trust me....it's not his fault. Johns is not the driving force behind the choices at DC Comics now. Dan Didio and Jim Lee are. They are the ones making the decisions. Johns is a company man first and foremost.

But don't believe everything you see. Geoff Johns loves Lois and Clark and always has. Some things are out of his control. Don't hold the poor choices of some of the other leadership against him.

What wouldn't I give to have been there when Didio and Lee watched the movie for the first time. MOS's Superman and Lois Lane must be their nightmares come true. I'm pretty sure they've been crying ever since :woot:
