Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline

Couldn't find the old time line thread. I found this image online and altered it slightly, added dates to the original (top) up to the end of Phase one, and began Phase Two's timeline. Be aware they are large images to accomidate all the text

I really prefer this one: goes really in depth with examples and time frames from the films. I dont think he's seen The Dark World yet.

I Don't wish to blow my own trumpet but that Tiki Toki timeline is mine :yay:

Admittedly it is a work in (slow) progress and nothing is ever set in stone but it is as accurate as I can make it.

I wish to blow your trumpet on your behalf. No homo? That timeline is dope.

I've even emailed you about it in the past. Hahaha. Keep up the good work.

Have any of the comic book prequels explained how Thor was able to repair the bridge?

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline

Does anyone prefer to watch Thor TDW before IM 3 in your series viewing?I kinda like seeing what happens to Loki immediately after Avengers, and nothing in IM 3 seems to place it before Thor 2 in importance.

BTW,anybody try to watch Agents Of SHIELD episodes in between the movies for a Mega-marathon?:sus

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline

I kind of enjoy the order of release, as in the viewing experience you don't watch 2 subsequente films with the same tone, that's why i never recommend watching Iron Man 1 and 2 in succession, i think The Incredible Hulk should be viewed in between.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline

Lord - Heimdall repaired the bridge using the Tesseract brought back by Thor after The Avengers. It was addressed in Marvels' Thor: The Dark World Prelude comic.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline

Wait, if the bridge was only repaired after The Avengers, then how did Thor come to Earth in that film?

Orphix 03-20-2014 12:09 PM

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline

Dark magic conjured up by Odin. I think Loki references the fact in the film.

In the comic prelude it also suggests that the effort of using dark magic as a means of transportation greatly weakened Thor which goes some of the way to explaining power levels when fighting Iron Man.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline

I currently have a 1080 cut of all the Phase One movies in chronological order based on the timeline put out by Marvel. It's pretty sweet, but extremely long. I'm hoping they release a timeline for all of the Phase 2 movies so I can do the same thing when they release.

I might make a gigantic movie with all of Phase 1 and 2 movies put together, as some of the events and past scenes occur before or during the Phase 1 movies.

I'll look into posting the Premiere file online. You'd need copies of the movies and One Shots on your computer, but it should work if you can fill in the source files correctly.

Is there any version which includes the comics? And have they stated what is canon or not? I mean, the movies and live action tv shows are obviously canon, but what about the tie-in comics? Some comics seem to be more directly linked than others. And the video games? I guess it's safe to assume that the video games are non-canon.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline

I included the Comic prequel info I think It's how I was able to place the events at certain times.
I don't go into extreme detail but much of the info shows where WHERE that event took place, Comic or Movie.
