I don't know what over comes me. Never before have I felt such anger and hate. I don't even recall doing it, but flames start to close the pathway leaving only one way out: through me.

They come at me, like vicious creatures of the night, let off the leash by their master. They're just kids, dangit. All the while, Madlove starts letting off energy blasts, and I think I start to spend most of my time making sure the kids don't get hurt more than I do. Which is probably what the maniac wants as I take several of his blows from the distance.

Jake...even Jake comes at me.

"Stop it! Dangit! STOP!!!"

I take the water from the puddles of the alley, and create a band of water tentacles, each keeping the attackers at bay. I stop and look at Jake, starstruck by the look on his face as he struggles. He wants to kill me.

My Go--goodness...he wants to kill me. All for Madlove.
