Default Re: The All-Star Marvel RPG: Sign-Up/OOC Thread

Character you would like to play: Mark Scott a.k.a The Ghost

Powers: Being an extremely talented inventor, Scott will soon create a battle suit that grants him invisibility and intangibility. However, this will just be the first design so many devices will be added on to the suit over time.

Mark Scott himself owns a P.hD in Physics and Engineering as he is a skilled inventor, demolitions expert, engineer, technician, and computer scientist.

Basic history of the character (Up until this point):

Even from a young age, Mark Scott exemplified his vast intellect, crafting miniature robots and darting down advanced math formulas by the age of 9. Obviously, Scott breezed through school and graduated as the valedictorian of his class. College at Harvard didn't provide a challenge either as he was awarded his Ph.D in physics and engineering after 5 years.

Right out of Harvard, Roxxon offered him a job as a research scientist, which he took without delay. Eventually, Scott worked his way up to a high-ranking buisness executive for the oil company. But after 3 years of residing behind a wooden desk, Scott began to grew bored of his life and felt like he just needed to add a little sugar and spice to his office life...

Why Have You Chosen That Character?: He's not a big-name character in the slightest and that allows me to change his character quite a bit. I like the idea of a bored businessman better than a Nazi terroist and Mark Scott has the potential of being a good character.

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character (IE: How are you changing him or her?): Well first off, his identity. While the in-game characters won't know the face behind the mask, I am giving him the name of the Ultimate Blacklash. Also, I've given him a backstory. I also intend to still portray Mark Scott after he transforms into the sabotaging Ghost. But otherwise, there's not too much change about the character.

Two Complete Sentences Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): Quality writing. A challenge for the heroes.

Please provide a small sample post in the format you wish to portray your character in (Minimum three paragraphs/one line of dialogue, maximum six paragraphs):

"I'm sorry man, I got a skyscraper worth of documents to look through." Denying a night out on the town once again because of his heavy work load, Mark Scott was pissed. Every Friday, his pals hit the clubs while he was stuck behind his oak desk, scanning over endless piles of documents. Was this what being a business executive is all about? Reading papers? If it was, Mark Scott was tired of it. To the bored businessman, his boss was insulting him. He had been valedictorian. He graduated with the highest degrees from Harvard. He had been hailed as a supergenius. But all that seemed to be a lost memory.

Pausing from his work to take a look out of his gigantic window upon the back wall, Mark's eyes sparkled from the bright, stunning lights of New York City, only discouraging him more.

"**** it."

Shoving his papers off his wooden desk, Scott gathered his things together and headed for the door, escaping his dreary prison. Mark Scott, Roxxon business executive, was going to party tonight.
