But it's true. Kick-Ass the movie is much better. Superman the Movie is better than any Superman comic ever published. Christopher Nolan and Tim Burton improved Batman, Catwoman, Penguin, Joker et al.

Lose the snide attitude.
It's perfectly possible for a movie to be better than the source material (Blade or The Crow would be some great examples).
Kick-Ass and STM are not at all good examples, IMO, but it's definitely possible for the movie to be better.
