This is the only immediate thing I can think of in Smallville that just rubbed me the wrong way. When I first heard that Darkseid was coming, I thought "YES! The alien god is coming to WRECK ALL KINDS OF ****". Then there's this black cloud mist bull ****....A wasted opportunity. I guess after Doomsday, they figured one major make-up effects villain was enough.
