Big fan of Tom Waits, He's an acquired taste, but IMO, he's very talented, very much an original, and very funny to boot. I don't know if he wrote the line, but he was the first I ever heard say "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy." Good actor too.
I hadn't thought about but Ledger's performance was somewhat reminiscent of Waits and his general demeanor. Coincidence? Or was Ledger a fan too?
