Who's not to say his armor isn't enchanted and there where mystical elements involved in him repelling Mjolnir. Sort of in the why that the properties of Caps shield allow it repelled Mjolnir in the Avengers. he might have even summoned a force shield or field. Look at the red light flashing in the video below from marvel freshman
