I mean it still makes more sense to me that Bruce would have had at least some minimal contact with her in the Wayne board room before he became a recluse, and if he had no idea whether she was "lovely" or not it seems rather lucky that he'd be able to correctly guess who she was when she approached him out of nowhere with a mask covering her face. Perhaps it was the accent (Tate is a French name)
