Honestly this could be Logan's only purpose for the movie. But since this is Fox we are talking about, I kind of have a feeling they don't want to bring back Jackman as Wolverine just to have him get fried and be in a tube as a skeleton for the rest of the movie.
But hey maybe this is going to be like killing Ripley, Hicks, Newt, etc. in Alien 3
