Default Re: Are Some Comic Book Fans Responsible for Simplifying the Medium to theGeneral Pub

I never felt that anything darker wasn't a proper comic book film. For example, there is Road to Perdition and From Hell which are both comic book films and very dark. I just have a personal taste that enjoy a better mix of light and dark in my stories so I love both The Avengers and The Dark Knigtht Rises but hated The Amazing Spider-Man. It's not about comic book films specifically, it's my personal preference for films in general. I agree that some people are confused by other takes on the stories, but a lot of that is that we tend to like what we were first exposed to and anything else is change that takes getting used to...

For example, when the Doctor regenerates on Doctor Who...people always fight it and complain that "my Doctor was the best".
