Default Re: Are Some Comic Book Fans Responsible for Simplifying the Medium to theGeneral Pub

i don't think i've ever seen anyone criticise the batman movies under nolan for being "too intelligent". what i have seen people say about those movies is that they take themselves and the material so seriously, it kinda, leaps over serious drama into pretentious melodrama. also that batman isn't really the super genius batman from the comics. i can understand that view to an extent.

but no, i don't think comic book fans what the films simplified. they simply want an accurate representation of what they love shown on the big screen. which is fine to a certain degree. but they need to understand that these films cost upwards of 100 million dollars to make, they can't be made to be niche cult films that don't make their budget back. sometimes there has to be compromises.
