None of what you said relates to the scale of the films. Joker wanted to corrupt the soul......of two ferries worth of people. Ras wanted the entire city to destroy itself. There is no question that Ras' paln was bigger in scale. But I will concede this, BB's aesthetic didn't convey that scale. TDK, despite being a more down to Earth (as much a comic book film can) story, was shot with a far bigger sense of scale, which might give someone the impression that it was bigger. It wasn't.
