If the "Future" aspect take place even one day after the events of X3, wouldn't that automatically make this a sequel to that film? The "Past" events have no bearing on this if the travelers are going back to prevent an eventuality that takes place after
X-Men: The Last Stand.
The very fact that we are even seeing the original cast again in this upcoming film officially makes it a sequel. It's not a reboot. It's not a prequel. So what does that leave us?
