Well, the rumor is that Mandarin's rings
have some sort of powers that are a cross between Extremis and alien tech/magic. One rumor was that some of the rings have rocks in them from an alien source that give them powers and some are connected to Extremis and can affect tech like Stark and the Extremis "soldiers" can.
