In case you're not joking, yes, I know he's not actually going to be small. What I meant was that Thanos is usually tied to huge events occurring in the universe. When I hear Whedon say he's going smaller, I assume he means that there will be more focus on the characters rather than a big fight like the NYC throwdown. Maybe their fight is to interrupt him before he starts doing things like evaporating half of all life in the universe. The rumored
kidnapping of Tony could also work to make the Thanos story more personal.
