That's your misinterpretation. TDKR was a letdown for me. It doesn't match the greatness of BB and TDK. But did it ruin the whole trilogy on me? No. It would have to be X-Men 3 or Spider-Man 3 bad for that.

I have Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Just because a third film didn't live up to my expectations and disappointed me doesn't mean it negated the first two (even though I don't HATE TDKR completely, it's still got Catwoman and a few other things like action scenes). You can always just look at Batman Begins and The Dark Knight as one entity with TDKR being some one off, "what if" story. They're our films, you can feel whatever you want.

I always felt that TDK felt like a natural continuation of BB.
