...a man in constant agony that is so excruciating that he needs a mask feeding him painkillers at all times to hold it at bay is unbelievable to you? Also, they're not realistic, they're just more grounded than say...The Avengers or Thor. Not everything can happen in the real world. There aren't ninja cults in the mountains or men who wander around with half their face burnt off and talk just fine either. It's a heightened reality.
