Also, Thor and Cap were both those character's first films, so $170-180 million was a good (most would say great) haul domestically
$179 for Wolverine, with all those movies under his belt and a better domestic total for X2 and X3, had to be more disappointing to the studio
that said, if this one make $150 domestic and $350 or so million international, with this movie's slightly lower budget, it'd would be a decent chunck of change
The Dark Knight rises did less than the dark knight as is said domesticly.
Many sequels to big hits actully do less domesticly than predaser.
