Re: Batman Begins Best Origin Movie ever ?
If anything, the more I think about it, Begins felt like an Elseworlds Tale. It was hardly a Batman film; it was an interesting experiment, but it was not until the sequels that the creative team delivered a film that legitimately looked and felt like a Batman film.
An interesting perspective, given that a recognizable portion of the fandom think the exact opposite, that the TDK-titled sequels lost the sense of Batman that Batman Begins supposedly had.
BTW, I share your growing ambivalence towards the film. Every rewatch gets a lower mark from me.
Alan Moore on comics:
They've lost a lot of their original innocence, and they can't get that back. And, they're stuck, it seems, in this kind of depressive ghetto of grimness and psychosis. I'm not too proud of being the author of that regrettable trend.
