And he's got some great subtle moments, too. My personal favorite was when he's confronting Dent at the end:
Batman: "What happened to Rachel wasn't chance. We decided to act. We three"
Dent: "Then why was it me who was the only one who lost everything?"
Batman: ".....it wasn't"
That moment was great. His voice goes down an octave where he almost whispers that last line. He was feeling the same pain Harvey was over Rachel. He can't even tell him that.
That's one of my favorite moments as well. As much as I criticize Nolan's Batman/Bruce Wayne sometimes, there are plenty of moments that are absolutely fantastic.
I think that entire last scene is one of, if not the best scene in TDK...and it didn't even have Joker in it!
