I think the gymnast example is the more realistic take. On average he'd be bigger and heavier than most gymnasts, but amongst his skill set is being an Olympic level gymnast purely for the functionality to free running across an urban cityscape. Batman's training in comics is very heavy on gymnastics and more classic strongman feats. The types he was modelled after in the 30s were often doing gymnastic feats in addition to lifting heavy objects. And they weren't necessarily going for high numbers on the bench press. I think the gymnasts are good basis for Batman. Also, that Scott Atkins pic is good too.
