Ah... That's strange... These sort of things are more common now in entertainment these days. Your mom is old enough to have lived through the Star Wars craze. Of course different strokes and all that, I suppose. I work with a guy who is a couple of years younger than me and he has never seen ANY of the SW movies. Or Chris Reeves Superman... Or... Well you get the point. I've asked him why and his overall point is entertainment where things occur that cannot happen in life is "stupid". Of course his favorite comedy is "I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY".
Wierdly, he liked Avengers. It's a strange universe.
Ma doesn't like Star Wars probably because my Dad loves Star Wars and forced her (and me) to watch it. I got to tell you, being forced to watch Star Wars made me kind of resentful to the whole thing too. I told him I didn't want to watch them especially all in a row, he didn't listen and I hold a grudge to this day. She liked the Star Trek movie that just came out, not the second one she hasn't seen it yet, and she loved Avengers as well as the Wolverine, though she hasn't seen the new one yet but those movies are all things I convinced her to watch after long battles. She resists me but I'm converting her, slowly but surely
