The Official Colossus/Daniel Cudmore thread

So it seems questionable whether or not Cudmore will have a larger role in X3. I think Colossus is one of the best X-men, and should have a bigger role in the movie.

Cudmore looks perfect for the part, but some say he doesn't have the acting chops to pull it off. Even though he had limited lines in X2, I say give him an opportunity to break out.

What does everyone else think?

Basically I feel the same...
If he starts with a larger role and then can't pull it off acting-wise, just trim it up and let it be another small role.

I think this is a good option, I just want to know where he stands acting wise.

It will be interesting to see how they balance the cast in X3...

The thing is, other than the newly introduced Beast, there are no mutants on the team that have super strength. If they are going to have Juggy in the movie, the X-men need at least one powerhouse mutant.

But, like someone mentioned, with the other X-men being featured, and the Dark Phoenix being introduced, it's unlikely that Colossus will get much face time.

Even though he was in X2 armored for all but a few seconds, I really treasured those few seconds! He is such a great character with cool powers, I just wish he would have a bigger role.

We shall see....

I don't think he'll have much larger role in this one. I don't see it happening with all the new mutants they're introducing.

well with juggernaught int he film he could have a bigger role as the guy who goes up against him. he should as well as i agree that colossus is the best x-man

From what I've read and such he's ok...but he has no experience, so he's got nothing to really bring much to the table.
Of course I don't know this for sure, it's only speculation from what I've read.

So I'm hoping they give him an X1 Iceman-sized role or a bit bigger. IF he can pull it off, then keep it like that, if he can't trim it down to about his X2-sized role.

I just think it's high time we have someone on the team that has super strength...I think Piotr would fit it great.

I don't need a fastball-special, but I want more screen-time for our metal mutant!

i think his role in X3 will be only slightly larger then in X2. but i do hope his screentime includes a fight with Juggernaut. that'd rule.
