A FORUM REBORN V. 2.0

I enjoyed going back to read, started by a poster I miss around here very much. This thread said it best, and was launched by one of our strongest posters on this board....where is he?
Where were you? and Where are you now?

This is a thread just asking the question....What are your memories and your dreams...

We had a great core group of many people as we followed the first movie.

Several had been on these boards for a few years before the movie was announced (Cappy, Frankie, Willie), some of us came along around July, 2004 (myself, Lightnin, and a few others), and the early months of the first production. We argued, we debated, we argued, we debated, we argued some more, and we debated some more, but we had alot of fun.
We have some awesome new posters that have joined over the last few months...

The sequel is about to begin filming this summer, so where are you now?

Discussion and debate are a hell of alot of fun when done respectfully and with thought and passion...

Let us begin again, and enjoy the run up to Fantastic Four II.

From the first Forum Reborn...
So while this forum has been in a bit of a lull lately, things are about to heat up once again. Hopefully all of the senior board members including Franklin, Vartha, Captain StaceyIron Maiden, JMAfan, Willie, Hunter, Kmack, Surfergirl, Dragon, Wihelm Scream, Red, and the few that have come in and out, the crews of Ioan, Jessica and Julian fans and many more will reunite to breathe new life into this place! (I added a few of my own) Along with the many, many, many others that have joined us along the way....some we know are about to enjoy their own favs, as in "X-men 3" and "Superman Returns" "Break a leg" to those 2 movies BTW....

Forum Reborn v. 2.0

We may disagree, you may have high hopes for this sequel, and we have some that do not have high hopes.... but we all have one thing in common....we have a chance once again, to PREPARE FOR THE FANTASTIC. How you prepare is up to you.....BUT lets prepare together....

We could start this thread by remembering some things that made you laugh, cry, spit your diet coke on the computer screen etc (glares at Vartha)...post your memories of our 2004-2005 journey....and let's begin to make some more memories on our 2006-2007 journey......

THE JOURNEY IS OURS PEOPLE.....MAKE OF IT WHAT YOU WISH.....I HOPE YOURS IS A HELL OF ALOT OF FUN!

One of my favorite memories is when the "character threads" were born, Lightnin being the first to go with Sue's thread...thats when my learning began....and I'm very appreciative of those threads...

Lets keep this thread fun....ok

Great thread

My fav memories of last time were messing about in the pic thread,Pruning the garden(Some will know what this means) and the anticipation and excitement over the trailer
Let's hope this go around can be as fun

Favorite memories ? So many where to begin. Just a lot of fun.

The excitment leading up to the movie, the pictures, the trailers, the featuretts. Then when it opened yea boy. Fur was flying.

Looking forward to it starting all over again.

Hmmmm, so many fond memories:

* FF Thread-Blasters brought this forum a lot of laughs--I recall how Paradoxium (one of our mods at the time) created a zany "Bat-Troll" blaster specifically for our use

* First Photo Release of The Invisible Woman:

That had a lot of people eating crow, and put a lot of us at ease...especially those who feared the studio would get the costumes and Jessica's "look" wrong.

* There was a jarring scandal that sent a ripple effect through the forum. But it was heartwarming to see many of us eventually welcome that user back into the fold

* The ShoWest Trailer footage injected this place with such enthusiasm--it was our first real chance to see everything coming together

* The official website premiere was state-of-the-art, and that too had the forum buzzing in a good way

* Forming enduring friendships with those who count....

That would be a great teaser poster for FF2 just put FF2 at the top with the actors hands and it would be perfect

DH alot of people thought the same thing for the last pic....that would be a cool "one sheet".

Its real simple and easy I love it possible make it a front and back one with 2 different images like dooms clock on the back or something?

Also I super glad FF2 moved now I can see FF2 and transformers without worrying about what to see opeing day. YAY

Remember when we had seen all the characters except Doom, and we were waiting, waiting, waiting to see him. (leading to speculation that he might look like this):

Then we finally got a leaked photo from a photo shoot which was shortly followed up by the official version that just showed the mask. It was a while longer before we saw one that actually showed him with the hood and the rest of his costume.

A little while later, we got the one with the eyes that blew everyone away.

I have a feeling many are going to be royally pissed this time around....I think they may be much more closed mouthed and much more secretive of their villains. At least I hope so.....god they need to do a major check of their employees and tell them to shut the hell up......in my humble opinion.

I was mainly lurking back then, responding here and there. Then when the first footage came out, I did a lot of avatar requests.

I'm looking forward to the FF2 Hype

Once production starts ( crossing fingers, toes, and eyes it's June ) it will really heat up.

Sooner it starts, the longer the hype.
