Default Ultimate Iron Man - The Ultimate Universe's first Elseworld?

I just finished the first edition of the TPB and does anyone else find this story utterly mind bogglingly bad? I mean, it is like an Elseworld tail, aside from being anti-climactic and boring, it contradicts so much that has already been established in The Ultimates. It is like the Ultimate Universe's Elseworld.

Agreed, it's pretty lame Orson Scott Card was the writer and I hope Marvel trash this turd as soon as possible.

i thought the story was lame. the love triangle/quest for money/power trip was boring, in my opinion.

but if you liked it, great.

I love OSC, but that story sucked.

Damn, that's not a lot to contribute now, is it?

I didn't care for it either; it was slow, late as all heck and you summed up the other problems. The last issue was probably the best for me, but by that point it was such a mess that I almost didn't care. Notice that at one point, Marvel was so excited about this series, and yet we haven't heard diddly about a sequal in almost half a year? Golly, I wonder why...
