Default Cat abuse and desensitizing cartoons

Recently in the past 2 weeks i have heard of two crazy cases of cruelty to cats. One happened here in my city! I have even met this guy. He lopped off the head of two of his cats! He said they were crazy and after him in the paper. So i do some digging of my own and it turns out the guy had a house had unspayed cats they got pregnant. They had feral cats that scratched him a lot and peed everywhere so he killed them1 He then felt the need to brag about it at a local bar and that is how he got caught.

The next i saw in the news was a dispute between a couple. The guy slaps the girl so she runs out on him. He takes her 4 kittens and throws them in the fire! She comes back to find them. This guy is getting 1 yr in prison. The other guy is getting up to 16! I personally think the burning is worse and that guy should get more time too. For the first guy spay your cats! SEcond guy is just !@#% angry!

I also see that cartoons these days are super violent! This isn't comical like tom and jerry in a nice way. It is using a delivery man using the punchline this was a worse delivery then when my wife had a miscarriage. That had nothing to do with violence but i found it odd how warped comedy has become. OUt of 3 that i watched i saw about 9 accounts of violence. 8 of these had blood. about 3 of these had lots of blood!

Sorry to hear about the cats and all, but what connection does cartoons and cruelty to animals have?

LOL! That's lazy.

Uhh - the only connection would be violence, yes - cartoons cause animal cruelty!

String?

I heard about this guy who threw a plastic bag full of kittens onto the side of a busy highway.

Luckily for the kittens, they were found in time.

Oh, and this local guy who mutilated and had sex with rabbits and then threw the dead corpses into a dumpster in a side building where he works. He went to jail for that, claiming influence under the ice.

I heard it was rough on the activists and the RSPCA people, who once had to euthanise a rabbit who was breathing brokenly through a snapped neck.

I have never abused my pets! I had an $80 dollar item chewed up by my chihuaha and I did nothing to him. I had a child fence put up, but he still manages to get in! AS for my cat i would say she abuses me every time i try to trim her nail she scratches the hell out of me. As for my typing i hardly understand it myself and cartoons have nothing to do with this animal violence. Just something else i had seen as well

Cats steal the souls of children while they sleep.

yeah, that's what people do when they don't wanna go any further in saying stuff. I think it's called "trailing off."

Re: Cat abuse and desensitizing cartoons

i had plenty of friends back in high school who would aim for cats crossing the road when driving.
most men that i have known said they hate cats.
i don't know what guys problems are, but i don't think it has anything to do with cartoons.

I can barely understand your posts, Lucy

Um..recently there was a bad case of animal abuse around here.
Some guy tied a plastic bag around his dogs head, put him in the microwave, then tied him to the back of his truck and drove around with the dog being pulled behind it.

What does that have to do with anything? I hate possums, but I wouldn't throw one into a fire or lop its head off.

Yeah I dunno why, it seems like people have to go out of their way to let us know what they hate.

All I can say is, "That's great! You feel that way. Carry on".
