It was pretty big back in the day, and still is in effect, though not as popular. If they included the original cast, it might be a nice little spectacle. But would the demand be there?

I'd watch it. But it depends on who they cast, and who is the Director.
For me Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, would be ideal to me. Crank has a lot of Qualities I can see a WildC.A.T.S movie should have. As for cast I would have to think about that one. |

I'd probably watch it too, as long as it didn't look like the Street Fighter movie (in terms of quality) I would see it.
Wow, Jim Lee has had his comic's turned into cartoons a few times, like with his X-Men redesigns and his WildCATS. |

Wildcats didn't last very long. I remember it was on CBS back in the day and aired around the same time as Fox's X-men.
Funimation recently released the entire series on DVD, all 13 episodes.

I'd prefer to cast Voodoo first. She was always the one I was about. =P

They'd probably cast Jennifer Garner as Zealot.
And Devon Aoki as Voodoo.

Doesn't Voodoo require someone with a bit more, *ahem*, melanin?

Honestly my ideal WILDC.A.T.S cast would be....
Spartan - Daniel Craig ![]() Sydney T. Poitier or Thandie Newton - VooDoo or ![]() Zoe Bell - Zealot ![]() Grifter - Tomas Jane (I agree with one of the above posters) ![]() Maul - Don't Know, maybe CG, but can't think of anybody right now. Warblade - Cyril Raffaelli ![]() Void - Milla Jovovich ![]() John Marlowe - Bob Hoskins |

You hire Zoe Bell to be the stunt woman for Zealot, you don't hire her to play Zealot.
Thing about Warblade is that he's American, so again you don't cast Raffaelli whose only real "acting" credit is playing one of the leads in a French action movie, District 13. Which was one decent action movie. Again, you get Raffelli as the stuntman, not the actual role.

No, it wouldn't work ; there's actually no Image franchise with a strong enough story to make a successfull/worth watching adaptation.
Remember Spawn. |

Blade at the time was just a hard R, badass, and bloody action movie. It was a sleeper hit few were really expecting. Plus with the whole vampire thing and the Buffy crowd getting into it.

If filmmakers drew more from the later volumes of WildCATS, especially V3, that'd make for a great movie. |

I thought Blade was Marvel, not Image....
I still think no interesting movie can come from an Image title... |

Correct. I brought it up in reply to the comment about comics (Image was named) without strong enough stories to make a worthwhile adaptation. Blade only lasted 10 issues in his own title after Nightstalkers was canned and Nightstalkers itself only lasted a couple of years. In spite of it's poor comicbook origins Blade the movie really got the snowball rolling again for Marvel Productions.
Regarding WildCATS, I think it could work. A colourful direct take on the comicbook would be abysmal, but if the movie-makers get a darker edged clandestine Kherubim/Daemonite war going on under humanity's collective noses then it could be quite interesting. |

i think the blade referernce meant taking an obscure[at the time] horror character and making a conventional super-hero of him via movies

Wildcats comics were terrible except for the artwork, the problem with image "back then" was that no one knew how to write.
