The Adams Family
I never liked the Munsters. Didn't think they were funny. Thought they were really dumb and annoying. I know its six of one half a dozen the other. But I'll always stick with the Adams |

My favorite Addams Family was from The Addams Family and The Addams Family Values. I never really dug the original series, and the 90's series sucked balls. However, I always did have a soft spot for The Munsters. I guess I pick them. I never did see their movies, though.
...is this discussing the films or the TV shows?

This discussion can be for all of it.
I thought the Munster's movies were crap but the actors looked just like the originals. The original Munsters was cool but The Addams were more original. The Munsters were just version of other classic horror characters like Wolfman, Dracula, Frankenstein, etc. The Addams were hella cool. I loved Raul Julia's version of Gomez in the 90s movies, by far the best. I barely remember the Addams Family show from the 90s. Don't recall it being too good though.

I liked The Munsters better. Love watching it in my childhood.
I watched a few episode of The Addams Family tv series and thought it was weird. But The Addams Family movies rocks.

I love the original Addams Family show, and the same goes for the first two Addams family movies as well. So I would have to say that they are my fav. I like the Munsters as well. But not quite as much as The Addams Family.

Wow..ok so I'm going to be the lone wolf here....
I'm talking strictly about the original series'. Not the remakes not the features or tv films JUST the original shows themselves.... I liked both shows but if I had to choose, the Munsters would win out for me. There was just something so fun and innocent about the munsters I dunno it's hard to explain. And I'd like to think that if I ever get a lucky (or unlucky) girl pregnanat then I'd be just as good a dad as Herman was. Herman was honestly one of the best t.v. dads in history. Unfortanatly the Waynes bros are making the munsters feature film

If were are going for the two original series, I would say The Munsters since ive never watched the original Addams series (I watched the cartoon/movies/and 90s series).
Overall though The Addams family. Im surprised that we have never had a cross-over between the two. And the best Wednesday Addams is totally Christina Ricci and the 90s series Wednesday (for me atleast) |
