Wow, some of these I want a mix of answers. *rats* Okay, Superman kills, but only as a last resort. *boyscout* The S on his chest is Kryptonian, for the El family. Martha is alive and she made his suit. I like the S on his cape, but it's not a deal breaker if it's not there. It should match the shield. Lois is both Clark's rival and friend and Lex is a rich criminal mastermind who also happens to be a mad scientist (That's way more fun than a suave business man) Superman and Batman are friendly, not actually friends, per se. They do have an antagonistic relationship at times, but remain on good terms for the most part. Superman's primary motivation is to help the helpless (and then justice) and Lois is the love of his life. The true persona .. this is hard but I'll choose Superman. And yes, he is still haunted by the loss of his parents, planet and people. Metropolis is the city of tomorrow and they love having Superman around. He is primarily the protector of Metropolis and Earth. (and kicks villians and alien vlilians bums on the side) Brainiac is a mix of two, Coluan and AI. Kryptonite exists in two forms, only.

A backwards wacko, but he doesn't think he's Superman at all. I look at the way Bizarro existed before Infinite Crisis for an example of a good Bizarro. Answer B is the closest to that.

Couldn't you have put down a few more possible options to fill in those gigantic gaps?). Again, option B is the closest to describing how I feel about that topic.

I loved Byrne's Krypton. Its rich history is great for showing that not only did Jor-El want to save his son from an exploding planet, but also their dying civilization. It's also much more heartwarming to see that, in a world filled with emotionless robots, Jor-El stands apart and proclaims that he loves his wife right before their death. That shows the unique and strong stock that Superman comes from.

There's also the fact that Superman is supposed to be the most human of us all and the stark contrast between Krypton and Earth, the planet that raised him, also reinforces the final words at the end of Byrne's MOS; that Krypton gave him his powers, but Earth made him who he is. The emphasis on Earth was a welcome addition in MOS, rather than Superman's character being a 50/50 split between Earth and a dead planet that has no reason to affect his life anymore. He still respected his heritage and was saddened that all of them were dead, but he moved on.

IMO, there's nothing not to like with that version of Krypton. It took all of the elements that are expected from Superman's origin (rocket ship escaping exploding planet, noone believing Jor-El, etc) and made them resonate so much more than had ever been done in the past.
