Yeah, but really focusing on the graphics could make for crappy gameplay.

Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy was a great game. It was one of the most original games I had played at that point and really wish they had made a sequel.

THe problem with Indigo Prophecy was the way the story evolved. Hopefully Heavy Rain learned from Indigo Prophecy (the guy who was responsible for Indigo Prophecy says that it got way too 'out there' and that he wouldn't repeat taht for his next game). It's like Silent Hill 2, it's more on an interactive novel than a video game. I'm so down for taht, especially if it really hits home with a good story.

Looks great, but I still need to find a copy of Indigo Prophecy (U.S. Fahrenheit)!

well, if that's in-game (which i'll bet it is, based on that tech demo they'd showed some time ago) then damn... this games graphics > everything... ever.

Indigo Prophecy was described best by none other than the late Evan: A failed attempt at something great.
The first half of the game was some of the most pathetic I've ever seen. Living out everyday life? Going to take some medicene? I find the stand out point of the game's stupidity was listening to Agatha and actually having to stop and feed the birds. What the hell? Just tell me why I murdered someone! No! I don't want to close the drapes and light the candles! Oh god...

So getting a drink of water, turning on music, feeding birds, and thrusting the control stick to have sex with your girlfriend was the best bit of the game?

it was alot more than that. IP was original. It had an intriguing storyline up until the scifi stuff kicked in. It was an interactive film where there were plenty of choices and choices which affected the outcome of certain events. The game was fun and Im interested in seeing what the team has in store for Heavy Rain. I hope they eventually do a sequel to IP bc the 1 of the endings left it open for one

Here's the trailer. Really nice looking, controls look kinda similar to what Farenhight used when you tap buttons during cut-scenes. Kinda looks like it is suffering from dead eye syndrome though at 1:01 like Mass Effect had. Sorry. Crysis>all |

I personally loved the real world aspects... until the games plot fell apart.

You are lying to yourself. I promise you, you find it more fun going to get a real drink of water and feeling the reward of the ice cold liquid run down your throat. You enjoy the prospect of a nice, comfertable sleep, more than you enjoy the prospect of it in the game.
It wasn't much more than that. There were annoying joystick flicking moments, that were too distrascting to see what was even going on in the game. And there was that book searching bit... that horrible book searching bit. The best bits of the game were the stealth levels as a kid, and they were frustrating, and dropped right down the second you had to play hide and seek of all things with a time limit. Why not just shout "The place is about to explode, get the hell out of here!"? Just an awful game. The best bit was cleaning up the crime scene at the start.

Funny, I thought the kid stuff was the worst part of the game. You make it seem like all you did in that game was drink water. The best part of the game was that it was an interactive story and something I havent seen before. Like I said before, it had an intriguing and interesting story until the sci-fi stuff creeped up towards the end. Is it a classic? No. Is it one of the best games released in the past few years? Of course not. Doesnt mean its a bad game. I couldnt stop to put it down once I got started and I did enjoy it

You ca fins a better quality verson over at Gamersyde or whatnot.Looks really high quality, but it will take a well animated scene akin to their earlier stuff with the girl crying etc, to sell me on if they have really improved the model or not. Well obviously the model is higher quality, but it's all in how it comes together on screen.

Electro UK's view on this trailer:
1st part: Oh this looks pretty cool actually, nice a creepy. I loves me a good ol' mystery. Then the first sign of a quick time event comes on: F**K! I can't wait to pour water into an ice cube tray, but it in the freezer, wait for it to freeze then put the ice in my drink in this game.
