Baroness turning good? I mean, I know she's evil in the comics and all, but it just felt good to see Duke rescue her and Duke finally gets back together with her again. Is it really so much more important to be more faithful to the comics than pleasing the crowd?
What are your thoughts on it? |

I thought it was ridiculously hokey at the end. Not to mention cheesy.
Was the crowd that pleased? The movie isn't doing Transformers business. Its doing Van Helsing business.

Lot of the people seemed happy to see Anna get back together with Duke. I dunno I just liked it, it felt good to see him rescue her and she ended up loving him again.

It didn't bother me. In context of the movie it felt like a satisfying ending, even if it was different from the original. Without it Duke would not have had any real emotional investment in the story, and thus Chaning Tatum would have gone from wooden to cardboard cutout (not that there's much distinction between the two in Tatum's case.) If nothing else, he at least had decent chemistry with Sienna Miller.

I'll tell you this much, Duke and Ana's relationship is what got my cousin (a girl who's not into action films) into the movie. Actually, the whole Duke-Ana-Rex connection was one of the things she liked about it.
After the movie she told me, "I think that was good how they made a connection between Duke with Cobra Commander and his sister." For me, I also didn't mind it as I too, enjoyed the dynamic. There's a tragic element to it considering how close these individuals used to be and the paths their lives have since taken them...

It felt even better after seeing the flashback scene where he proposed to her.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked it. And I'm sure she'll turn bad again in the sequel. Which pisses me off. I'd like to see Anna get revenge on her brother for mind-controlling her. Maybe she and Storm Shadow can join G.I. Joe? That would be awesome. |

After my 2nd viewing, her transformation seemed a bit quick for me, I mean one minute she is totally evil and kissing one of the main bad guys, a few quick memory's later, and she's back to being good again, was a bit too forced for me.
