Ayelet Zurer Replacing Julia Ormond in The Man of Steel

Man of Steel is produced by Chris Nolan, Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder and Emma Thomas.

I'm much more satisfied with this choice. I was fine with Julia, but she did come off older than I had wanted for Lara. Ayelet has a very soft and maternal look about her that is a nice contrast to the wise and stern Crowe.

Yeah, me too. I thought Julia shared a good likeness with Cavill, as well. My only complaint was that she hasn't aged all that well.

Ayelet is fine though I guess.

Also, most images of Ayelet don't look like that one you posted above, which I suspect to be the result of photo alteration.

In these pictures, her nose looks rather prominent and reminds me a little of a proboscis monkey, especially the top one. I suppose she's better than Ormond though, who does seem rather too old.

She looks more like Lara to me, so I'm happy.

And posting unflattering pics of her is irrelevant to me. If she can brush up well for a photo shoot, then she can look hot ON SCREEN, regardless of her bad days off screen.

The pics I posted aren't meant to be unflattering -- just a more accurate representation of how Zurer looks. Someone posted a "brushed up" photo of her next to a public photo of Julia Ormond arguing that Zurer is easier on the eyes, which isn't necessarily the case -- at least in my opinion. That said, the brushed up photos of Zurer don't really look like her at all when you compare them to other pics of her on the interwebs. It's as if they gave her a photoshopped nose job or something.

She does make a good Lara though and is obviously younger looking; and I agree with the person who said she looks more like Brandon Routh.
