Dead Space 3

With the success of both games in the Dead Space franchise it's inevitable that we will see Isaac Clarke sooner rather than later. There has already been some hints towards DS3 but now it appears the first possible info has leaked.

Apparently, if the rumors are true, the game will start out on a desolate arctic planet.

I for one think that could be really cool. Considering all the similarities already, the arctic locale makes me think even more of John Carpenters The Thing.

I've always imagined the Necromorphs as cousin's to the Thing. To have it take place in a similar sitting would be fantastic.

Well I like the premise so far, I'd like to get away from space stations and ships and see some real planet side exploring in the DS universe.

OMFG if this is actually true I'm going to lose my mind. Dead Space is one of my favourite franchises and this concept sounds absolutely amazing.

I'll be super-annoyed if EA turns DS3 into an FPS. 2 is one of my favorite games of the generation, let's not try and bring it to the 'mass market' in this incredibly lazy way.

If a real sequel gets announced at E3 along with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 then I'll be incredibly happy.

I hate that, all of it. Every bit of it.

The only thing in that article that sounds even remotely OK, is the co-op and thats due to the fact that its NOT mandatory and that the story will reflect that. There was nothing wrong with DS1 or DS2, i can't for the life of me figure out why they'd change it. Ah well, Dead Space, ya had a good run. At least i still have the first 2 games.

Hmm. I'm guessing the crouching will be a result of a monster that you have to duck and cover from. Probably something that shoots out blades or some scary **** like that.

I really hope they don't get rid of Ellie. They mention that Isaac has a new guide in this game, I'd be really bummed if they offed Ellie in favor of someone new.
