Official Red Lantern Corps Thread! We Mad!

Didn't see a thread for this book and I wasn't surprised b/c I'm sure like 7 people are reading it but w/e. Let's discuss and be mad about stuff!

It's pretty obvious that Bleez is gonna be the RLC member to get their intelligence upgraded, though I'd prefer it to be Skallox(skeleton head).

This book would be so much better if it were written more "alien" and not like its just funny looking humans.

Yes! This is a huge problem with this book for me

and it's a shame because milligan's justice league dark seems pretty imaginative by comparison.

i totally dig the REDS!! by far for me they are the offshoot of the Green lantern corps!

I've tried this book but it's not really doing anything for me. The Red's are the LAST of the corps' I woulda given a book to. I don't hate them or anything but "Rage" is pretty one-note, y'know? There's not a lot you can do with it.

You'd think, but Atrocitus has been extremely introspective in these first 2 issues. Almost to the book's detriment, he rambles for pages while trying to sort out the RLC's mission and what not.

See, that just confuses me even more. "Introspective" is not a word I would associate with that guy. Why give a fan favourite supporting character like Atrocitus his own book if your just going change everything that people liked about him in the first place?

I guess because they knew a book where all the characters just run around yelling, throwing up blood, and fighting for the hell of it would never make it past the first arc. Atrocitus is no less angry, but he's trying to psychoanalyze himself while not losing the support of his corpsmen.

It's funny, the RLCs seem less evil now that we know more about them while the Indigo Tribe are freakin terrorists.

I liked issue 1, but it was just in a handful of books I had to cut loose. Just not worth the $2.99. Maybe I'll continue with it once they drop to $1.99 on the digital store.

I will certainly be buying the Dex-Starr Valentine's Day Special though.

I just googled it to double check. Streaky's a dude. Maybe he had a urinary blockage and had to be given a sex change somewhere down the line and I didn't know.

And yes, there are kitty sex change operations, look up perineal urethrostomy.

Technically you're both right. Streaky the Super-Cat from Pre-Crisis was male. However, much like his owner, he was wiped from existence Post-Crisis (Also he wasn't a Kryptonian cat, he got his power from a piece of Kryptonite that Kara had experimented on to try to cure the effects of the radioactive rocks). Post-Crisis Streaky (who may or may not exist post-Reboot since it's a new Supergirl too) was a female cat, named Streaky because she 'didn't understand the concept of a litter box.' The original was named Streaky because of the lightning bolt streak on his backside. The Post-Crisis version was just a normal housecat, btw.

Clearly we need to fill Kara's appartment with Kryptonite until her post crisis cat gains super powers as well
