in this one, it seems to be that once he gets his powers, he pretty much right away decides to use his powers to fight criminals, by 'trying to do something the police can't'.
Whether or not he also tries to make a buck from wrestling is besides the point, he's also already decided to become a crimefighter too.

the origin is now very different
the character's journey is different
the character is different...

Who cares? The origin is A BIT different. Same concept. Same Peter, maybe a few background changes.

haha, this is so ironic, for months I have had to listen to people like you Troy, talking crap about the Raimi Spider-man, and saying that this reboot will be portraying the 'spider-man we all know and love', meaning, the *real* spider-man, and now it has been revealed to not be the case at all, you want me to shut up about it.

Anyways, shouldn't your "argument" belong in the nitpick thread? Because you're clogging this thread up.

And again, you're completely missing the point, which is making repeating myself a very annoying task.

Both instances are a misuse of power. Can we please move on now? Or at least take your crap to the nitpick thread so I can ignore you.

That's what I'm thinking. That's the only thing that makes sense regarding the large amount of police officers being present at that funeral.

As far as Flash being there, he could be a friend of Gwen but not Peter.

Yep! I wonder if the thing we heard about Gwen looking up and seeing Spidey watching from afar at his funeral is true, because from shots of Gwen in the trailer... it might be.

I don't think Gwen would end up hating Spider-Man and I think that would be a dumb way to take the story. She obviously knows he's Spider-Man throughout the movie or at least some of it. She knows he's trying to do good and that he's doing the best he can, there's no way she would hate him.
