I didn't think Johns would use the Mayor. We know Bruce has spent his entire life in Gotham in this take. The comic has a brand new villain and so forth, but i guess i always assumed this was gonna have some costumed freak or a mobster, but it's the Mayor. =p

This is a minor nitpick, and its not even why I'm uninterested in Earth One, but I always liked Bruce being this world-traveler after his parents died. I actually never gave it thought until the description for this story came out, but something about him never leaving Gotham doesn't sit right with me.

Has Judd Winick done anything with Tim before? I'm kind of confused why they're trumpeting his return to Red Robin when it's a totally different character from the Red Robin he previously wrote...

Probably not, although I personally didn't know it existed until a couple years ago when I heard it mentioned on Psych. They don't have any Red Robins in my area, it seems.

I've always thought they should change their mascot from that stupid cartoon bird to Tim. The logo could be Tim taking a huge bite out of a sandwich. I guarantee people would go there more if they did. I know I would.
