Default TDKR Video Game Tie-in ????

http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/battl...ail-sch/092536

Read this in the TDKR News thread. Is this legit ??

If there is a tie-in video game, hopefully it's decent. It's surely not being made by Rocksteady (the people who made Arkham City) according to a past interview I read.

I seriously can't see anyone topping what was done in the Arkhams.

Its not about topping anything. Its about bringing the Nolan Batman to life, in interactive form. Thats something the Arkham games haven't done.

I love the Arkham games (apart from Conroys phoned in voicework), but since I'm a avid gamer, more Batman games are always welcome.
I really hope they try to make a open world kinda game, like Just Cause2 or the GTA series. I want to drive the tumbler and I want to be able to go where I want to in Gotham (not just a very small walled off part of Gotham).

I think the chance to have another Batman game in the Nolanverse would be very cool! I am still bummed out that that TDK and the Gotham By Gaslight Game never came out

The story could be way better than what Dini did for both Arkham games....

Yeah, when I first read spoilers for Arkham Asylum, I actually thought the Venom/Titan storyline was totally made-up.

Arkham City wasn't that horrible of a story though .....

I have to admit I think Arkham city's story is even worse to me. It's full of boring twists, some scenes are ridiculous, and most characters are wasted. There was a lot of potential with this story, but it didn't deliver. I still really like the game itself, for its great gameplay, the amazing settings, and the great mood. But the story was so.... average... and wasted...

Why do we need a movie tie in that will most likely suck when we have two good Batman games already? It seems WB's greed can't be quelled.

"Greed" drives every Batman product to production, movies, comics, games, etc. The bad of the bunch and the good.

the Batman Begins game was far from perfect, but it didn't suck. Actually, it had some great ideas.

Never materialized for TDK, even though people speculated it to death. I bet anything the same thing will happen with TDKR.

Yeah. I'll believe this when I see it in stores.

It wasn't by choice, if I recall. The game studio went down under and took all the projects with it.

WB aren't stupid to not try and capitalize on a lucrative property in any way they can.

I am surprised about this. If they've had a decent length of time to develop the game it might be decent. Though of course it's going to be compared to the Arkham games, and that's a hard ask. If it's an official product we'd be bound to see voice work from Bale, Hardy, Hathaway and others - and also body scanned models.

Which is what excites me. And if they built on Pandemic's idea of an open world Gotham from the cancelled TDK game, this can turn out better than expected.

If this happened, I can't see myself playing anything else. Awesome.
Maybe they'll play off the Bane vs Batman marketing and let you choose which side you play as.
But I can't imagine it, especially not in a movie game.
Although I'm shocked there's been no screenshots, trailers or official announcements yet. If we haven'y had any by April/May I doubt we'll be getting a video game.

The game isn't coming, as much as I want it. There have been no previews, screen shots, press releases, etc.

Oldman said there would be a TDK game. I would like them to release an anthology that chronicles the entire trilogy in a video game chronicle. I would like it to mirror Arkham Asylum's combat, the mechanics of Grand Theft Auto, and present the story of Nolan's trilogy.

I would buy it, I quit video games a while back, but I'd dive right back in for a TDKR game.

Big mistake.

You miss some really really great stuff, with the Uncharted series, Infamous (a superhero themed GTA), the Arkham Games, Mass Effect and a lot more!
I know its not the "coolest" thing to do with your freetime, but as long as those games are keep getting better, I just cannot stop. I... JUST... CANNOT!!!

I love video games as well. Obviously, you're a ps3 player. I made a Batman inspired level in littlebigplanet 2. it's called "the sack knight".

Yeah, ps3 only. Sold by box a few months back.

I only own LBP1, so I shouldn't be able to play it, right? Would love to check it out.

you won't be able to play this one, but you can try sackman begins, a level I made on LBP1. But be warned, it's hard and ugly. The Sack Knight on the other hand is way better.
