Alot of writers are putting down The Chargers. It'd be hilarious if this were the year they finally win it all (with no hype or expectations).

Actually, it was Matt Moore & I'm being serious. See, HE fumbled in OT against Denver. Denver won that game in Miami. That started Tebow Time. Miami wins that game, no playoffs for Denver.

Of course by fumbling, he set up Tebow owning The Rapist in the playoffs. Oh I'm sorry, Big Ben...

Automatic reviews of turnovers are stupid. Seriously, what else is there for the coach to challenge? The spot of the ball. They've taken all strategy out of the challenge aspect.

What was...yes, what happens when Romo as USUAL overshoots his man, INT to the Safety? Ref gonna review that? Nope.

Why not just make any play challenge able. Keep the challenges to two, it won't slow the game down anymore than now. Automatic reviews are dumb. Even on scoring plays.

I think Bill Parcells coaching the Saints would just end up like the Mike Ditka era when he coached the Saints.

Parcelles would just be coaching for a year starting with an already top offense. He'd have the immediate respect of the players as more than just an 'interim', and he'd probably help improve the defense (legally, of course ). If you had to pick anyone out there to help 'hold fort' for a season, and maybe even still win it all...who else would you go with? I think the bigger concern is whether he can even handle it for a year at his age.

Adding automatic replays will add time, but it is important to get the call/play right. And I don't think it'd be as clunky as questioning every single spot o a drive. A turnover naturally takes a bit of time to switch the teams out anyway.n So this woudl be helping to ensure that it's the right call.

Yeah, they normally go to commercial after a turnover, so it shouldnt extend the game longer than it already is.

Three replays a game are more than enough for the flukey turnover. If a coach wishes to waste them challenging a catch on a first down pass, so be it, even if it hurts his team later on through a turnover he cannot challenge. That's the beauty of the challenge and why it worked so well when the coach had to choose to challenge scoring plays and turnovers. There was a strategic element to it. The NFL has stripped that away.

But the point of leaving the challenge to automatic game officiating is not to take away that strategy. It's to get it right altogether, and near the end of a game if a coach is out of challenges, and TV replays show it to be a wrong call, it adds a level of illegitimacy to the game's outcome. Something as major as a score or a turnover...that comes with extra time in the game anyway..probably should be confirmable like this. The strategy and costs of using challenges for other calls will still be there, they're not losing that because of this. This part is just something else they chose for the sake of getting it absolutely right, especially since the game itself allows the time.

The real problem the NFL needs to deal with is the refs blowing the whistle too early. If there is a questionable fumble or tuck rule like thing, they shouldn't call the play dead, they should let it run its course until one man is definitely down then review it. Look at the Lions/Saints playoff games, if a ref doesnt use his whistle on Drew Brees' fumble, it's a touchdown for the Lions. It's something that needs to be addressed.

I hope they have one of those style shirts with the throwback Falcons helmet. I would buy it and never take it off. NFL Gear is going to sick next year, gonna have to get a new jersey, and a couple of Nike's NFL shirts, depending on what styles they make. Gonna be way better than boring old Reebok.

Man, the AFC is scaring me. The 49ers are stacked. It's crazy that they got Manningham (shocked the most about this trade) and Jacobs. They should definitely be making it to the AFC championship game. Then we have the Patriots, Texans, Broncos (with Peyton), and those damn Ravens. I hope Big Ben doesn't get injured again. Two seasons in a row.

Nike is going to do work on NFL apparel. I'm excited to see what they have to offer. If there's anything Nike excels at, it's how good their stuff looks.

Yup. Their uniforms might not be the best but they usually hit home runs with their fan apparel.
