I never read that story arc but from the reviews the arc seems to have been ok because the finale was easy to know, but why all the hate? Is it that bad?

Arkham appeared in the first issue of Batman with skull face paint on so I assume it still happened.

Nah that is actually a continuity error that Capullo was too late to change, not blaming Capullo, but either Daniel changed his mind too late or the Editorial was too stupid.

It's a shame he ignored Life after Death, which is still my favorite thing he wrote, not to mention he had potential with his Chinatown madness story thing. >

Arkham appears in Detective Comics #9 and will narrate most of it, that should answer your question, but you know he was never that sane to begin with, when he became Black Mask he was simply a pawn of Dr. Death and Hugo Strange.

Roman alive? I think so? Maybe? I haven't seen his murder referenced anywhere.

I enjoyed that confrontation a lot for the most part. I just disliked that it seemed to end so abruptly and cut so short.

but this isnt an event comic. its the status quo.

the alleged purpose of this whole thing was to boost sales and bring in new readers. statistics have shown that it didnt bring in new readers. and now the sales bump is slipping with every passing month. how long until they slip to pre-flashpoint sales? probably within the year.

at C2E2 last week, everyone in the lines were talking about how much they love the new 52. I even heard some people saying Marvel might do the same thing because they are pissed about their low sales. I heard so much stupid ****. All I know is I;m enjoying like 6 or 7 out of 52. I'm even buying AvsX and I might get the Watchmen books because I have extra money to spend. I'm trying out so many new indies now just because it doesn't feel right going into a comic shop and only getting one book when i'm used to getting a stack.

If they went back, I would be happy, but I don't see it happening. The Marvel booth was busy, but no where as busy as the DC booth. **** was cray-Z

I'm digging most of the new 52 comic books at the moment definitely enjoying more titles than I was before I think

There are some characters/series I miss from the old dcu but i think I would rather they show up in the new dcu rather than retconning the DCU back to how it was pre Flashpoint personally

Now that we've got Roman back hopefully we can get some more of his forced cannibalism shenanigans

the new 52 does have a lot of good things. But like I said before, they could've done those good things without changing everything. 90% of the good books they have going now could have been done without a reboot.
