Could be if it premieres at cinema con... also likely if theatre managers get the reel slightly earlier than may 4th and get 'busy' once again

Hopefully we get it with The Avengers here in the UK. We get it in 4 days. However, trailers are never usually consigned to films over here. They just kind of put whatever trailers they want in front of whatever film. Here's hoping though!

More than likely the trailer won't hit until after the 4th.

Likely that monday or tuesday, mainly to minimize bootlegs.

Same for TASM's trailer 3. It likely won't hit until after the 4th.

I just hope all the eggs in the basket aren't going to be in the trailer. Most of the best stuff of TDK was in the trailer.

Not in my opinion. Some of the best stuff was the two-face stuff and that was completely left out.

Totally agree!... Not only that. But even the things seen in the TDK trailer, like the hospital blowing up, didn't really sink in and get its full affect before seeing it in the theater! And one can debate about what the line, "Most of the best stuff of TDK was in the trailer" really means... Cause NO_ONE could've stitched together how TDK would play out, no matter how many trailers they saw! It took some major turns and had major twists, that simply no one could've foreseen! It was that brilliant! Already half way through it had played out in a way that wasn't seen coming, and it just kept surprising from there on. I was so freaken blown away! Nolan never makes anything obvious, namely not in his trailers. No trailer has ever ruined the effect of his movies one tiny bit. All the goods are truly saved for the movie experience.

I understand what you mean. But I don't think that will happen. I think the power of the next trailer will be the focus on Bruce, and all the **** he's been going through, knowing that they saved the worst pain for last! There will no doubt be money shots, of course. There has to be. But mostly so, I think it'll focus on drama and tension. What 'Rises' and 'Avengers' sets out to do are two different things, when it all comes down to it. 'Rises' has a legitimate chance to become the first superhero movie, ever, to be nominated for "Best Picture" at the Oscars. 'Avengers' will never do that. And that's because 'Rises' will be something more then a superhero flick.

In the new trailer though, I have a vision of the Bat-plane firing rounds at hostile territory!

Not to worry, they'll all be out of context and some of them will be unedited/alternative takes. Remember, we got the final shot of both BB and TDK in their respective trailers and none of us knew. We're quite safe on that front. If they release entire scenes like they did in TDK, however...

Avengers isn't a factor. There is more than 2 months separating TDKR and Avengers, so, they aren't competition with each other. AT ALL.

TASM is the only real competition but even then, not really. TASM has ample time to make money, even a billion really.

TF3 made a billion in the same time frame.
